FEMA monitors regulatory and legislative activity regarding environmental protection laws that impact chemical manufacturing. FEMA regularly offers its members compliance assistance for regulations such as the Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) rule, the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) and the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA.) In addition, FEMA monitors sustainability and green chemistry proposals.
