FEMA members are eligible to subscribe to the FEMA/RIFM safety and regulatory database. The Database is the most comprehensive, worldwide source of toxicology data, literature and general information of flavor and fragrance raw materials.
A critical part of the FEMA GRAS™ assessment program is the publication of the Expert Panel's decisions. Since 1965, list of flavoring substances that the Expert Panel has determined to be GRAS have been published in a series of publications in the journal Food Technology.

As part of the GRAS reaffirmation program, the key scientific data upon which the GRAS decisions are based on is published in the peer-reviewed safety assessments. The assessments have been organized according to chemical group and contain an analysis of food and flavor exposure data, data on absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, molecular reactions with proteins and DNA, and reports of toxicology, carcinogenicity, and genotoxicity studies for groups of structurally related flavoring substances.
