The Consumer Product Companies Forum examines issues that impact the use of flavors in consumer products.  The Forum puts particular emphasis on intellectual property issues involving flavors.

The Education and Training Committee will continue the development of FEMA’s education program which is expected to include at least one workshop and up to two webinars in the next year.  Provide your input on how the University of FEMA should provide education to our members.

The FEMA Regulatory Affairs Committee or “FRAC” is the central location for domestic and international regulatory information affecting flavors and food ingredients.  This meeting will include updates on global issues including the development of a community list of flavors in the European Union and food safety legislation pending in the U.S. Congress.

The Flavor Labeling Committee will focus on key issues involving bulk flavor and consumer product labeling.  This meeting will include planning for the October workshop: "US Flavor Labeling - From Concept to Consumer."

The Science Committee will will feature a special program that will focus on the scientific aspects of the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act in addition to normal committee business.  Several speakers will offer presentations about the Act and its implications for flavors and the industry. A moderated discussion will follow.
