A Message from the President

Dear Members,

Please join me May 6-9 at the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood, Florida, for FEMA’s 103rd Annual Convention.  Our Program Committee and staff have planned an exciting Convention.  This year’s theme, The Market of One: Satisfying the Needs of the Individual Consumer, will allow us to get “personal” with our clients and consumers, offering our speakers the opportunity to share their expertise and insight about how consumer product companies and the flavor industry are responding to increased consumer demand for personalization and customization in their food and beverage selections.  We will learn the many ways today’s consumers are directly influencing the design of products they see in restaurants and on store shelves.

As you plan your trip to Florida, remember that the dress code for the entire Convention is business casual, except for Tuesday’s casual buffet dinner, which is resort casual.  No need for formal attire at this year’s FEMA Annual Convention.

FEMA has planned a range of networking events and activities for the spouses and guests of those attending the Convention.  I invite you to visit the “Events” page of the website to learn about our plans and to register for the activities on the Convention Registration form.

Please reach out to the FEMA meeting staff with any questions about the Convention.  They can be reached at 202-283-5800.  I look forward to welcoming you to the Westin Diplomat for FEMA’s 103rd Annual Convention.

Sincerely,

Ed R. Hays
FEMA President
