FEMA's 2018 award winners: Martin Ongteco, Kathleen Crossman, and Richard Pisano Jr.

Each year, FEMA recognizes individuals who advance the flavor industry and the work of the association through extraordinary work, passion, and commitment.  The Emerging Leader Award acknowledges those demonstrating leadership qualities in their work as FEMA volunteers.  Dedication to flavor science through research and publication is acknowledged by FEMA’s Excellence in Flavor Science Award.  FEMA’s President’s Excellence in Service Award is awarded to individuals who help support the pillars of the organization.  In honor of Dr. Richard Hall, the Hall Distinguished Service Award pays tribute to individuals exhibiting outstanding dedication to industry advancement and FEMA.  Dr. Hall’s legacy of devotion to the flavor industry is further honored through the Hall Scholarship in Flavor Science, an academic scholarship program that supports FEMA’s dedication to education, scholarship, and the future of the flavor industry.
